To authenticate or substantiate a fare component.
The carrier whose ticket stock was used to issue the ticket. This carrier is commonly the holder of the money for the ticket. Also called plating carrier.
An organization that does not have an IATA-assigned two-character code.
An intermediate point between two terminal points of a fare component.
Category 28. Reflects the requirements to qualify for a “visit another country” fare. For example, country of residence, distance from destination country, and ticket purchase.
A cancellation of a ticketed itinerary that the passenger requested where there is no replacement itinerary and the ticket is refunded or discarded (no value). Does not include lost tickets.
A change in the ticketed itinerary that the passenger requested where there is a replacement itinerary and the ticket is reissued/revalidated. Passengers who wish to standby for a flight are not included in this definition.
Category 31. Defines the conditions and applicable charges under which voluntary changes are permitted. In the absence of voluntary changes data or when no applicable provision is matched, then a change is permitted at no charge and with no restrictions for that fare.
Category 33. Defines the conditions and applicable charges under which voluntary refunds are permitted. In the absence of voluntary refunds data or when no applicable provision is matched, then a refund is permitted at no charge and with no restrictions for that fare.
