Walking Directions from Dulles Airport

Washington-Dulles International Airport has several terminals. Most domestic flights will arrive in the mid-field concourses (A, B, C, D); a handful will arrive at the terminal building itself (Concourses H and Z). International arrivals can land at any gate, but all passengers must clear US Immigration and Customs in the International Arrivals Building attached to the main terminal. A detailed map of the terminal can be found at http://www.metwashairports.com/file/iadterm_train.pdf

For domestic passengers arriving at the mid-field concourses A, B, or C, take the Aerotrain to the Main Terminal. Passengers arriving at concourse D can either walk to the Aerotrain station at concourse C or take a Mobile Lounge to the Main Terminal. The exits for all domestic passengers and international arrivals are located on the Baggage Claim Level (lower level) of the Main Terminal Building.

NOTE: Due to construction, the directions below have recently changed.  There is currently no direct pedestrian access between the terminal and Garage 1, so pedestrians must instead use the parking shuttle bus.

  • Two passageways lead from the baggage claim in the direction of ATPCO. If you are between baggage belts 1 and 8, use the exit at Door 6. If you are between baggage belts 9 and 14 or are coming from the International Arrivals Building, use the exit at Door 2.  Exit to the Ground Transportation level.

  • Board the Parking Shuttle to Daily Garage 1.  During peak hours, busses will pick up passengers approximately every five minutes.

  • Exit the bus at the third stop for Garage 1.  Walk down row 1H to the other side of the garage. Go up the stairs to exit the garage. The exit stairs are located to the immediate left of the stairs that go up to the next level of the garage.

  • When you exit the garage, you will be in a parking lot facing the back of ATPCO’s building. Cross the parking lot and enter the building through the back door.

  • Walk through the lobby and past the elevators to the reception area (Suite 101) located on your right. Use the intercom to gain access to the reception area.
